Q. What’s the best thing about working at Nanny Brown’s?A. Creating the authentic Jamaican dishes.
Q. Which dish do you most enjoy cooking and why?A. Brown Stew Chicken, because I love to see how the unique ‘browning’ process gives the final stew its colour and bursts of flavour, which adds to the savoury depth of the dish.
Q. What three words best describe an evening at Nanny Brown’s?A. Family, friends and warmth.
Q. When you’re not at work, what hobbies do you enjoy doing?A. Puzzles, especially crosswords, word searches and quizzes, and I love to take time out walking as I find it very relaxing.
Q. What’s your favourite genre of music and why?A. From calypso to modern day ballads, I love a vast range of music.
Q. What’s the most memorable thing a Nanny Brown’s customer has ever said to you?A. That ‘The Cabin’ was a hidden gem!
Q. Lastly, which Nanny Brown’s dish is your favourite?A. Brown Stew Chicken with rice and peas, because this was what my mother served every Sunday at our dinner table as a family.
